Anthropic Gives Claude the Ability to Use Your Mac

Anthropic announced that Claude Code and Cowork can now control macOS applications directly, allowing the AI assistant to navigate desktop software, click buttons, and interact with native apps on behalf of users. The feature extends Claude's capabilities beyond text generation into direct computer use. Anthropic positioned the update as a step toward AI agents that can perform real work across a user's existing software environment rather than being confined to chat windows. The Mac integration is rolling out to Claude Pro and Max subscribers.
