Rivian Will Supply 50,000 Autonomous Robotaxis to Uber in $1.25 Billion Deal

Rivian signed a deal to supply 50,000 autonomous robotaxis to Uber in a partnership valued at $1.25 billion, Engadget reported. The vehicles will be purpose-built for ride-hailing with autonomous driving capabilities. Deliveries are expected to begin in 2028. The agreement gives Uber a major fleet commitment as it races to deploy autonomous vehicles alongside competitors like Waymo and Cruise.
