Anthropic says it cannot manipulate Claude once military deploys it

Anthropic filed a legal response stating it cannot remotely manipulate Claude once deployed by the military, WIRED reported. Once in an air-gapped environment, the company has no ability to alter behavior or disable functionality. The model runs as static software on military infrastructure. The filing addresses concerns in the ongoing dispute with the Trump administration, which blacklisted Anthropic from federal contracts.
