Nscale acquires 2,250-acre West Virginia data center campus, plans 8GW by 2031

Nscale acquired a 2,250-acre data center campus in West Virginia and announced plans to build out 8 gigawatts of compute capacity by 2031. The site was previously operated by American Intelligence Corporation. The acquisition gives Nscale one of the largest contiguous data center footprints in the United States. Eight gigawatts would make it one of the highest-capacity facilities in the world. The expansion reflects the escalating demand for AI compute infrastructure, particularly for training large-scale models.
