OpenAI in talks for $10B PE joint venture with TPG and Advent

OpenAI is in discussions with private equity firms TPG and Advent International for a $10 billion joint venture, Bloomberg reported. The partnership would fund enterprise AI deployments and provide OpenAI with capital for infrastructure expansion. The joint venture structure would allow OpenAI to share financial risk with institutional investors while scaling its enterprise business. PE firms bring relationships with large corporate customers that OpenAI can leverage. The deal would be one of the largest joint ventures between a technology company and private equity firms.
