Tutor Intelligence said it raised $75 million in Series B funding led by Andreessen Horowitz, bringing its total capital raised to $117 million. Union Square Ventures and Neo also participated. The company plans to fund robot AI model training and manufacturing and deployment of its Sonny and Cassie robots. Tutor trains its models with data from robots working in customer production environments with help from remote human operators. Customers pay by the hour or by the pick, with no upfront purchase or long-term contract; Tutor handles deployment and maintenance. The company reported twice as many working robots in almost four times as many facilities as a year ago.
