# AWS adds shared networks for HealthOmics workflows across accounts

_Published Thursday, October 15, 2026 at 3:23 PM EDT · Infrastructure, Science · Latest · Tier 2 — Notable_

AWS says HealthOmics now lets bioinformatics workflows use private networks managed by other AWS accounts, reducing the networking infrastructure needed by organizations with centralized administration.

Administrators can share subnets and security groups through AWS Resource Access Manager, and HealthOmics places participating accounts' workflows into those subnets. This lets workflows access data privately without separate network peering connections or duplicated private endpoints. Previously, customers using centralized networking needed separate AWS PrivateLink endpoints in each network and individual route tables maintained through peering.

The feature is available in all regions where HealthOmics operates.
