Google has signed a power-purchase agreement with Fervo Energy for 396MW from the Cape Station enhanced-geothermal project under construction in Utah. The project is slated to come online in 2028 and could serve a potential Utah data-center development. The agreement includes an option for Google to expand its offtake to 996MW by June 2030. The data-center plans remain subject to engineering feasibility, state and local approvals, and commercial conditions.
