# Vienna Insurance Group agrees to buy 25% of Dolphin Technologies

Vienna Insurance Group has signed agreements to acquire a 25% stake in Dolphin Technologies, a Vienna company whose driving-data software is already used by seven of the insurer's businesses. The purchase remains subject to approval by the Federal Competition Authority.

Dolphin's technology can be added to customer apps to provide driving feedback, assistance and emergency features. Depending on the insurance product, driving behavior can also determine cashback or bonuses. The investment deepens a partnership dating to 2022 and could support wider use of the software across VIG's markets.
