# AWS Security Hub adds plans that group fixes by root cause

AWS announced that Security Hub now offers remediation plans that group security findings sharing a root cause. Fixing one underlying resource, such as a misconfigured setting or overly permissive policy, can resolve or reduce the severity of multiple exposures, the company said.

Each plan includes a priority, impact assessment and instructions in formats including AWS CLI, Terraform and Python. AI agents can retrieve plans through the API to automate fixes. The feature is available in every region where Security Hub operates, at no additional cost under its Essentials plan.
