Apple confirms original HomePod mini will not receive Siri AI

Apple confirms original HomePod mini will not receive Siri AI Image: Primary
Apple confirmed to 9to5Mac that Siri AI will be available only on HomePod mini 2 and Apple TV 4K models from the second generation onward. The statement excludes the original HomePod mini from the feature. CNET had initially reported that the older, S5-powered speaker would gain compatibility later this year with iOS 27.2, but corrected that account. Apple had expressly identified eligible older Apple TV models without making the same commitment for existing HomePod mini owners.
