TSMC says its planned Arizona investment has grown to $265 billion, covering six logic fabs, two advanced-packaging facilities and an R&D center, with additional facilities planned for 2-nanometer and more advanced technologies.

The company's earlier U.S. expansion announcement cited $165 billion. The report says the planned U.S. footprint is intended to serve demand from Nvidia, AMD, Broadcom, Apple and Qualcomm and includes advanced packaging for a domestic AI supply chain. TSMC says this supplements, rather than replaces, investment in Taiwan.
