Intel says construction and equipment installation are underway at Fab 62 in Chandler, Arizona, with operations expected to begin by the end of 2028. The facility will become the sixth high-volume chip factory at its Ocotillo campus, according to a company investment update reported by Chamber Business News.

The project follows the opening of Fab 52, which manufactures chips using Intel 18A technology. Intel puts its investment in the two new Arizona factories at $32 billion. Fab 62 is still moving through construction and equipment installation toward its anticipated opening.
