Google Cloud ships developer plugin bundling agent skills and MCP server

Google Cloud ships developer plugin bundling agent skills and MCP server Image: Primary
Google Cloud released a developer plugin for AI coding agents, packaging skills and tooling into an installable bundle. The company said the plugin follows the Agent Plugins specification, an open standard for packaging Agent Skills and Model Context Protocol servers into portable units. The first plugin, google-cloud-developer, covers authentication, authorization, project management and guardrails for gcloud CLI operations, and bundles configuration for the Developer Knowledge MCP server. Google said the plugin is available from its Agent Skills repository and can be installed in Antigravity CLI, Claude Code and Codex CLI. Google framed the release as reducing context-window usage and simplifying dependency management for agents working across cloud services.
