# RunwayVC reaches €40 million first close for industrial-tech fund

Norwegian venture firm RunwayVC reached a €40 million first close for Fund II, which targets pre-seed through Series A companies in industrial AI, software, robotics, automation and autonomous systems.

Aker remains a cornerstone investor, while new limited partners include Halliburton, Aker BP, Aker Solutions, KLP and state-owned Investinor. RunwayVC plans about 20 investments over three to five years, primarily in Norway and the Nordics, with selected investments elsewhere in Europe and the US. The fund has already made two investments.
