AWS says its Agent Registry now lets organizations attach structured custom fields to records for agents, MCP servers, skills, gateways and other resources. Publishers can record team ownership, data classification and review status, giving people and automated systems additional ways to find and govern resources.

Organizations define a shared schema and can add fields for specific resource types. The registry validates required fields and values whenever records are created or updated. Users can filter searches through the console, command-line tools, software development kits or MCP endpoint. The feature is available in the registry's five supported AWS Regions.
