Anthropic adds beta API for organization-wide usage and cost reporting

Anthropic released its Usage and Cost Analytics API in beta on October 29, allowing Claude Console and Enterprise organizations to aggregate usage and costs through common endpoints, according to a documentation review published on note. Organizations can group records by model, workspace, API key and requesting user or service account. The previous API remains supported but is designated legacy. The new service returns all reporting combinations rather than the old Enterprise reports' top 100 groups per interval. Its data typically arrives within 4 hours and can take 24 hours, compared with the legacy API's usual 5 minutes. Priority Tier contract fees are excluded from reported costs.
