OpenAI reports recovery from errors across ChatGPT, Codex and APIs

OpenAI reported that all affected services recovered after an incident caused elevated errors across ChatGPT, Codex and its API, including the Agents API. Users could experience failed requests, difficulty logging in or signing up, and tasks that did not complete. The company applied a mitigation and monitored recovery before marking the incident resolved. OpenAI said it would publish a detailed root cause analysis within the next 5 business days.
