# Apple Music plans 600-capacity London concert and broadcast venue

Apple Music plans to open a 600-capacity concert hall beneath Apple's European headquarters at Battersea Power Station in the coming weeks. The venue will sell tickets for one-off performances by established and emerging artists, with shows filmed and broadcast live online.

Apple has wired the building for audio and video production and added radio studios, rehearsal rooms and spaces for podcasts, DJ mixes and songwriting sessions. The project gives Apple Music a dedicated source of exclusive programming as it competes with Spotify and Amazon Music, although Apple says the small venue is not intended to compete with established concert operators.
