Spotify says parents on any subscription plan can now create free managed accounts for children under 13, expanding access to its service for young listeners. The accounts provide a separate space for children to discover music with parental controls.

Parents can turn off explicit content, hide video and manage playback of specific songs or artists. Spotify also offers a new kids toggle for families whose children are not ready for their own managed accounts, keeping children's listening separate from their parents' listening.
