At least four Indian new-age companies listed since mid-2025 are considering reallocating ₹500-700 crore of initial public offering proceeds as execution delays extend their original spending timelines, Mint reported, citing industry executives.

One executive said the company would seek shareholder approval to move idle proceeds toward higher-return projects. Such funds typically earn 4-6% annually in bank accounts before deployment. Another executive said approval at multiple levels would take at least six months before the plans materialize.

The proposed changes could face scrutiny from proxy advisers and minority shareholders, with one executive saying companies must clearly establish the benefit of redirecting the funds.
