Anthropic's IPO filing reveals multiyear cloud contracts requiring payment regardless of actual computing usage, Yahoo Finance reported. The obligations include approximately $114.5 billion to Google until July 2033, $110 billion to Amazon until April 2036 and $44.9 billion to Microsoft until May 2033.

About 80% of first-half revenue depended on customers' use of its AI models, exposing Anthropic to a mismatch between variable revenue and committed spending. The contracts can be canceled only if a provider breaches its agreement and fails to fix it. The filing warns that default on some agreements could trigger early repayment of nearly all its debt.
