The Department of Homeland Security announced that it would implement a fee of more than $103,000 for H-1B visas, according to The Verge.

The article puts the proposed amount at $103,265 and notes that Amazon, Meta and Microsoft are the largest employers of H-1B workers. A federal judge struck down an earlier attempt to raise the fee in June, after more than 70 employers had paid a $100,000 fee.

DHS also indicated that the Optional Practical Training program may face a $100,000 fee.
