# Anthropic reports protein-binder results from Claude-led design campaign

Anthropic said Claude-designed protein binders were confirmed against 14 of 15 targets in a campaign that produced 354 confirmed binders from 1,320 designs. The company said outside firms Adaptyv Bio and Twist Bioscience produced and tested the designs. Anthropic used Opus 4.8 and a preview Mythos model to select binding sites, run existing design and folding tools, and screen candidates. It said further testing is needed to confirm hit rates and binding measurements.
