Databricks says access controls for serverless notebooks, jobs and pipelines are now generally available, while rate limits and cost-attribution tags are available in beta. Administrators can grant users or groups permission to use serverless compute objects across AWS, Azure and Google Cloud.

Every user initially retains access until an administrator changes permissions; restricting access does not interrupt work already running. Rate limits set a maximum autoscaling ceiling rather than a fixed cluster size. Existing budgets and alerts monitor spending, but report costs rather than prevent them.
