Replit launched Free Mode for its Agent product on August 18, using OpenAI's GPT-5.6 Luna for everyday chats, planning and tasks without consuming usage credits.

Core subscribers can use Free Mode in five-hour-reset windows and receive up to 30 hours of chat per month; Replit says the mode lets them create up to 30 times more within the subscription. Complex work may still be routed to the metered Power or Max modes, so the release reduces routine token anxiety rather than making every build unlimited.
