Apple removed Kromix from the App Store after WIRED asked about ads for the app that promoted AI-generated pornographic deepfakes of real people, according to 9to5Mac's account of the report. Meta also removed the ad campaign, which the report said included 32 ads targeted exclusively at men. Apple said the app appeared to add prohibited content and features after its initial App Store review.
