Nissan Motor Co. announced its long-term vision, "Mobility Intelligence for Everyday Life," defining a customer-centric strategic direction that integrates mobility intelligence through AI-Defined Vehicles and a choice of electrification technologies. President and CEO Ivan Espinosa said the vision sets a clear path for the future as the company moves beyond its Re:Nissan recovery plan, with customer experience as the guiding priority. Chairman of Nissan Americas Christian Meunier said the region is a key contributor to the turnaround, citing significant year-over-year increases in U.S. retail share and continued growth in Mexico. The Re:Nissan plan remains on track in its final year. Nissan aims to deploy Nissan AI Drive technology across 90 percent of its lineup long term, with the new Elgrand launching in summer 2026 featuring next-generation ProPILOT by the end of fiscal 2027. The company will streamline its model lineup from 56 to 45 models and cover around 80 percent of volume with three core families. Nissan is transforming its industrial model through a Product Family strategy focused on shared platforms, powertrains, and software, and is evolving its market strategy with redefined roles for the U.S., Japan, and China as lead markets.
