Feather Robotics raises $7.6 million for developer-focused humanoid robots

Feather Robotics said it completed a $7.6 million pre-seed funding round on September 24, led by Gradient Ventures. The investment took the form of agreements that convert into equity at a later funding event. Feather is building humanoid robots that outside developers can program for their own applications. The company says its wheeled, two-armed robot is available to order for $29,990 and comes with a software development kit. Investor SEED Innovations said its previously announced $1.0 million investment will convert at the next qualifying funding round or liquidity event, subject to a $60 million valuation cap.
