Apple has announced a smart home accessory lineup developed with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric, according to a company release quoted by Stratechery. Apple Home Collection includes indoor and outdoor cameras, thermostats, temperature sensors, a video doorbell and a door lock.

Apple says users can set up the accessories with one tap on an iPhone and manage them through Apple Home without a separate app or account. Home data is encrypted end-to-end, with access limited to users and people they choose. Availability begins in December, with select accessories available starting early 2027.
