A Delaware draft bill would allow AI agents to manage and conduct the business of a new corporate entity called an Artificial Intelligence Company, Ars Technica reported. The proposal would create a 30-month regulatory sandbox and permit any lawful business purpose except banking.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer has requested documents from Governor Matt Meyer concerning the proposal's development and potential AI safety risks. Comer argues that the structure could shield human owners and investors from responsibility for harmful AI actions. He said the inquiry could inform federal legislation limiting state AI regulatory initiatives. The draft may be submitted to Delaware's legislature.
