# Precision Neuroscience raises $250 million for brain interface development

Precision Neuroscience announced a $250 million Series D round on September 24, according to a startup funding roundup. The round was co-led by Pershing Square Inc., the Ackman Oxman Institute and an undisclosed life sciences investment fund. The report says the financing brought Precision's valuation to just over $1 billion.

Precision is developing a thin electrode array placed on the brain's surface to record neural activity without inserting electrodes into brain tissue. The company intends to use the funding to pursue approval for a permanent, fully implantable version. Its current Layer 7 interface received FDA authorization in April 2025 for use of up to 30 days; the permanent version is expected to take several years.
