# Meta opens $349 camera-free glasses preorders, sets $1,300 VR launch

Meta has opened preorders for Ray-Ban Meta Audio glasses at $349, WIRED reports. The camera-free glasses retain audio functions, weigh 43 grams and are scheduled to ship October 10. Meta says they can run for 12 hours on one charge and up to 48 hours with the case.

At its Connect event, Meta also unveiled VR Glasses priced at $1,300 for shipment in spring 2027. They use hand and eye tracking, with computing and battery power housed in an attached device. The reporter's brief demo found that the VR Glasses did not cover the wearer's entire field of vision, limiting immersion compared with a conventional headset.
