AWS enables CloudFront delivery for Lambda Web Functions

AWS has enabled CloudFront to serve applications built on Lambda Web Functions through its global edge network without application code changes. The integration provides caching, custom domains with managed TLS certificates, and TLS termination at the edge, which AWS says lowers connection latency. CloudFront Origin Access Control restricts functions to requests arriving through CloudFront, preventing direct requests from bypassing its protections while preserving users' original authentication credentials. Developers can also attach AWS WAF for application-layer security. The feature carries no additional fees and is available worldwide except in the CloudFront China region.
