# Snowflake makes private-source proxy generally available for Openflow

Snowflake said its Data Connectivity Proxy for Openflow is generally available on AWS, Azure and Google Cloud for customers on Standard, Enterprise and Business-Critical editions.

The proxy uses an agent inside a private environment to establish an outbound encrypted tunnel to Snowflake, allowing Openflow to reach on-premises databases, private Kafka brokers and cross-cloud sources without inbound firewall access. Snowflake said the agent uses outbound TLS on port 443 and mutual TLS after a bootstrap token is exchanged.

Enterprise-managed forward proxies for the agent's outbound traffic are not supported.
