Upscale AI has partnered with Nvidia to build its own switches using Nvidia's Spectrum-X chips, The Next Platform reported. The company will adapt its SkyOS network operating system to those chips, extending the software across networking that links accelerators within a shared memory system and networking that connects systems across an AI cluster.

Upscale also disclosed planned specifications for its SkyHammer switch chip: 115.2 Tb/sec of aggregate bandwidth and support for up to 576 accelerators in a single networking tier. The company has not provided a roadmap for future SkyHammer chips, and specific latency figures remain undisclosed.
