AnitaB.org announced the cancellation of this year's Grace Hopper Celebration in Anaheim, California, saying registrations and sponsorship commitments fell below the level needed to cover operating expenses. The organization said the circumstances behind the cancellation have adversely affected its finances and that it is evaluating strategic alternatives and future programming.

Employers with scheduled interviews are being notified and asked to continue those conversations directly where possible. AnitaB.org plans to contact registrants about registration fees by October 26; financial matters involving sponsors and exhibitors will be communicated directly to affected organizations.
