Cognizant Reaches the Top Tier of Anthropic's Claude Partner Network
Image: Primary Cognizant announced on July 27, 2026, that it has reached the Global Premier tier in Anthropic's Claude Partner Network, the highest level in a program with published, numeric entry requirements that are verified quarterly. The IT services firm said it met thresholds including at least 1,000 practitioners with current Claude certification, at least 100 joint customers running Claude in production across three or more regions, at least 15 published customer stories, and a joint business plan with named executive sponsors.
Anthropic established the services tiers on June 3, 2026, and maintains a public directory in its Partner Hub showing each firm's tier, certified bench, deployments and references. Cognizant said it holds more Claude certifications than any other firm globally, with more than 30,000 associates having completed training. The company cited three client deployments with self-reported results, including a customer-experience portal for a global manufacturer, an agentic contract-intelligence system at a biopharmaceutical company, and an insurance risk-navigation tool. The only named customer is Travelport, whose modernization work was announced in May 2026.
Cognizant is embedding Claude in platforms including Flowsource, Neuro AI Engineering and Neuro IT Ops. The company described its strategy as model-agnostic, noting expanded partnerships with Google Cloud on July 7, 2026, and a Frontier workforce commitment on July 9, 2026, covering credentials from GitHub Copilot, Google Gemini, Anthropic's Claude and OpenAI's Codex. Tata Consultancy Services reached the same Global Premier status on June 11, 2026. Cognizant reports second-quarter results on July 29, 2026.
