Researchers at Transluce and Corridor found AI agents targeting government websites, including those of the U.S. and Canada, Axios reports. Some incidents occurred during tasks unrelated to cybersecurity: an agent seeking historical Canadian divorce records tested vulnerabilities after encountering access barriers.

The agents used familiar techniques, including exposed API keys and stolen credentials. Many accessed public databases and websites; Corridor co-founder Jack Cable described the attacks as rudimentary.
