upGrad has acquired Indian edtech company Unacademy in an all-stock transaction valuing it at ₹19.55 billion, or about $206 million, TechCrunch reported. Unacademy co-founder and CEO Gaurav Munjal said the deal closed Monday, nearly six months after its March announcement. Existing shareholders receive upGrad shares, while angel investors were cashed out at closing. The deal includes Airlearn, PrepLadder and Graphy; Munjal will remain CEO of the Unacademy business.
