King Yuan Electronics subsidiary Aeternz Semiconductor Testing Corp. is considering a $1.3 billion chip testing plant in Fort Worth, with the City Council scheduled to consider a tax abatement on October 27. Tax abatement documents cited by Fort Worth Report describe at least $1 billion in real property investment and another $300 million in equipment.

The proposed plant would occupy a 23-acre site at 273 W. Everman Parkway. King Yuan supplies NVIDIA and other semiconductor manufacturers with services that check wafers and finished chips and assemble products. Its board approved up to $1.4 billion for North American chip testing operations on July 10, but the Fort Worth location remains conditional on the company selecting the city.
