# AWS previews penetration testing inside software deployment pipelines

AWS announced a public preview that integrates Continuum for Penetration Testing into customers' software build and deployment pipelines. The service already offered continuous, on-demand penetration testing; the new integration makes testing part of deployment and delivers findings directly in pipeline output.

Developers receive severity ratings, affected endpoints, and remediation guidance. AWS says the pipeline automatically tests again after remediation and verifies fixes without manual triggers. An automatically generated snippet connects the service to an existing pipeline, and application context initializes on the first run without requiring a prior full penetration test. AWS says changes unrelated to security complete with no meaningful delay.
