# Vercel adds custom alerts based on Observability queries

Vercel says teams can now create custom monitors that trigger alerts from Observability query results, including AI Gateway costs, performance metrics and external API failure rates. Each monitor tracks one metric or a ratio of two metrics, using either statistical anomaly detection or a fixed threshold.

Teams can configure detection windows, filters and grouping, then receive alerts through email, Slack, Vercel Inbox, push notifications or team-level webhooks. Custom monitors are available on Pro and Enterprise plans with Observability Plus at $0.0035 per GB of data scanned. Built-in alerts remain included with Observability Plus.
