Kobo is introducing Stack, a subscription that syncs users' own ebooks and documents, reading progress, highlights and annotations across its devices and apps, The Verge reported. The initial rollout covers Canada, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, the UK and Spain, excluding the US. It costs $3.99 monthly in Canada and £2.99 in the UK.

Stack accompanies Kobo's optional 6.0 software beta and supports EPUB and PDF files up to 200MB. Current e-reader support covers Clara BW, Clara Colour, Libra Colour and Elipsa 2E devices. Subscribers receive a 90-day trial; after cancellation, they have 60 days to retrieve files and export annotations before permanent deletion.
