OpenAI claims internal model resolved more than 100 open math problems

OpenAI claims internal model resolved more than 100 open math problems Image: Primary
OpenAI says an internal model has resolved more than 100 longstanding open problems across most areas of mathematics, alongside the Navier-Stokes Millennium Prize problem. Spokesperson Lindsay McCallum told WIRED that training began on August 28 and that the company has not set a release time for its next results. People familiar with the plans told WIRED that OpenAI intended to publish hundreds of results on GitHub on Tuesday. Mathematicians who attended an August meeting had urged the company to publish explanatory papers so researchers could assess and use the work. Several say blog announcements make results harder to verify and can exclude earlier contributions.
