Intel released the oneAPI Toolkit 2026.1 on July 7, 2026. The company said in release notes updated 7/7/2026 that Intel oneAPI Toolkit 2026.1 improves performance and scaling of AI and HPC workloads through targeted optimizations across libraries and runtimes, including faster math routines and more efficient communication, allowing applications to run faster on Intel CPUs and GPUs without code changes. Developers can more effectively target next-generation Intel GPUs with expanded platform support, including initial enablement for Intel Xe3-based GPUs and deeper hardware awareness that helps map workloads more efficiently to GPU architecture. AI and data analytics workflows integrate more easily with improved ecosystem support, including compatibility with newer sklearn versions and more consistent APIs across algorithms. Applications scale more efficiently across nodes and devices with enhancements such as GPU RDMA support and improved collective communication behavior. The oneAPI Math Kernel Library adds initial support for Intel GPUs based on Intel Xe3P microarchitecture and improved performance of lapack::orgqr for all architectures of Intel GPUs. The oneAPI DPC++ Library adds parallel range algorithms. Threading Building Blocks adds NUMA optimization with new interleaved memory allocation APIs and experimental C++20 modules support.
