WhatsApp opens encrypted calls to guests without accounts

A promo image for Meta’s guest calling feature on WhatsApp Image: Primary
WhatsApp now lets people join calls through a link without creating an account or installing the app, The Verge reported. Guests can use the web version and access screen sharing, hand raising and emoji reactions, with end-to-end encryption. An account is still required to start a call. Guests wait for the host's approval and can be removed at any time. They cannot see other participants' phone numbers, send messages or directly add others to the call.
