TikTok removes promotional account for Alex Gibney's Musk documentary

US-POLITICS-TRUMP-INAUGURATION Image: Primary
TikTok has banned the promotional account for Alex Gibney's Musk documentary ahead of its wider release, The Verge reported. The Hollywood Reporter said distributor Bleecker Street was told Friday afternoon that a permanent suspension was imminent. The removal follows TikTok's refusal to allow paid advertisements for the film, extending the restriction from advertising to the film's account. YouTube and Google previously reversed their rejection of ads, calling it an error. TikTok did not immediately respond to The Verge's request for comment.
