Judge permanently blocks federal restrictions on Anthropic

Judge Rita Lin ruled that the supply-chain-risk designation and related actions unlawfully retaliated against Anthropic for protected speech and violated due-process rights. The court said its order does not require the government to use Anthropic's technology or prevent it from choosing another supplier under applicable law.
The dispute followed Anthropic's objections to uses of Claude for mass surveillance and fully autonomous weapons.
