Valar Atomics announced that it was scrapping its Green River Gigasite and pursuing a data center elsewhere in Utah, Outdoor Life reported. The abandoned proposal covered 10,200 acres of Bureau of Land Management land plus several hundred acres of state land near Green River and called for nuclear power.

The developer has not identified the replacement site. Whether the substitute facility would use nuclear reactors, natural gas or solar power remains unclear.
